I hope I get to see him a lot, that's why I want him to

"...We requested Mr. Rowley because we knew he
cared for each child in his class on a very personal level.
We have not been disappointed! He loves our child
and nurtures her as his own. He has helped her regain
self-confidence... He is super fun and we always hear how
much our child loves him!"

"...He also has taken his personal time to come and
support both of my sons in their different sports activities.
In my book, that makes him the BEST teacher ever!"

Crystal Apple Award
Recipient
Miss Curtis
We are so pleased to be able to announce Amber Curtis as
Lakeview’s Crystal Apple Award recipient this year! Amber
has worked not only as a 6th grade teacher for the
past few years but she also taught 3rd grade,
multiple grades in the after-school program, and has bravely
been Lakeview’s track coach. Those of us who have had the
opportunity to work with Miss Curtis know what a committed and
wonderful teacher she is.
Miss Curtis is dedicated to the teaching profession.
As if teaching a class full of 6th graders wasn’t
enough, she simultaneously worked not only on her ESL
Endorsement but her Masters Degree as well! Although
inundated with additional assignments, papers, and projects,
she always manages to have a great attitude and energy to
spare!
Miss Curtis' students know that they are important to
her. If you’re looking for this teacher during lunch or
after school, just follow the line of students. She can
always be found offering extra assistance to those who need it
and works tirelessly to help her students succeed.
Miss Curtis' dedication to her
profession, positive attitude, and commitment to her students
make her the perfect recipient for the Crystal Apple
Award. Congratulations Miss Curtis!
Alumni Spotlight

Michael Padeken
“...A good role model is somebody you can look to that
they are just the way they are but they invite you to be
somebody you didn’t ever think you could be. I struggled
in elementary school. I qualified for Special Ed.
School was pretty much a struggle from grade school all the way
up until my last two years in high school. Mr. Rowley was
my 6th grade teacher. I felt like a person in
his class, like somebody. From that point on it pretty
much made the difference for me staying in school, sticking it
out and even helping me decide to become a teacher.”
Michael, a teacher who once struggled as a young student, is
now a role model for his own class of 4th grade
students.
