Fri., Mar. 12: Celebrate "Pi Day." Watch for more details.

 

Thu., Mar. 18 Maturation Program-12:45 pm: Permission slips have been sent home.

 

Mon., Mar. 22 Intense Science Day

 

Wed., Mar. 23-Thur., Mar. 24 SEP Conferences: School get out at 1:25 on both of those days. Come to my class's "Open-House" on Wednesday, March 23 from 1:30-6:00. Or you can sign up for an individual conference time on Thursday, March 24.

Science: The students will study Chemical Changes with Miss Roberts. There are also 2 super science days planned. On March 2nd, the Children's Museum Outreach Program is coming to do an afternoon-long workshop on physical and chemical changes. Then on March 22, the 5th grades are having an "Intense Science Day" where the students will rotate through three different classes to have a more intensive study of heredity, magnetism, and chemical change.

Literacy: Book club books: Westward Expansion

Math: We are continuing our study of geometry, surface area, and volume. Later we'll begin a more in-depth study of alegbra.

Writing: Personal Narratives and UtahWrite
