Academics at Lakeview

We have established Professional Learning Communities in each grade level team. In our monthly staff training we have worked to focus on learning, work collaboratively and hold ourselves accountable for results. Teachers have used formal and ongoing assessment data to identify each student’s weaknesses and strengths. We work in teams to support the outcomes we desire for each student. We know that by being specific about our target outcomes and teaching to that objective our students will continue to see growth and both teacher and student will feel success. With one year of CRT scores available Lakeview students achieved “Proficient” levels above the state average. On the Iowa Test of Basic skills our school had the largest gain from Fall to Spring in the district and again was above the district and state average. We continue to focus on individuals as we move all students to the “Proficient” level.
